Patricia began her service on the TFWC Executive Committee as Secretary in 1998 being elected to the next office in line every two years. Her training as Second Vice President Dean of Membership, First Vice President Dean of Leadership and President-elect, give her the experience necessary to to serve as President. Patricia began her training on the state level in 1986 serving as the GFWC Centennial Celebration Chair for three consecutive administrations. She served two state presidents as both Convention and Program Chair, jobs that taught her how to plan a convention and a business meeting following the by laws all the while having a good time. She has attended GFWC Conventions since 1984, been a regular at South Central Regional Conferences and has held various appointments since 1995. She is proud to be a second-generation clubwoman; her mother the late Evelyn Siegfreid was President of the New Mexico Federation of Women’s Clubs 1990-1992.

Patricia Siegfreid-Giles joined her first federated woman’s club in 1977. She is proud of her membership in the Waxahachie Shakespeare Club founded in 1897. From the start she accepted leadership roles on the club level adding district and state positions to her resume. Her training as an officer includes attending GFWC Conventions which she has attended every year beginning in 1984. In July 2006 her experience, education and training came to fruition as Patricia became the 54th President of the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs. 

Patricia’s experience in Trinity District began in 1980 attending the Crime Prevention Workshop in San Marcus and for two years was often seen masquerading as McGruff, the crime prevention dog! She has held all elected positions and was President 1994 -1996 overseeing 30 clubs in 11 counties with 3000+ members with record high attendance at meetings that started on time and ended early.

Patricia grew up in the Air Force, lived in one foreign country and six states. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Drama from the University of North Texas. In the summer of 1970 she and Jer Giles met at a summer theatre. It was love at first sight. 2007 marks their 37th wedding anniversary. They have made Texas their home and have lived in Lancaster since 1973. They have a successful business as mural artists and designing interiors. Patricia is an active volunteer and member of civic and charitable organizations in Waxahachie, Lancaster and Dallas.
